After waking up halfway through the day to only watch television and eat junk food for the rest of the day, I began to question what I was allowing myself to do. Here I was missing out on all the amazing opportunities that await me, only to get a quick laugh from How I Met Your Mother or to sneak a spoonful of cookie dough. I want to be able to say that I have lived my life to the fullest, glorifying God and to love every minute of it. I want to invest in myself so I am able to invest into others and also not waste away my last few years as a teenager.
So I decided to start a year long bucket list. To face my fears, challenge myself, and grow as an individual and in my relationship with Jesus Christ. Now the problem is that I'm not the best at commitment, and I usually quit trying or quit projects all together once things get tough. That's why I'm starting this blog, to keep myself accountable and possibly to encourage someone else along the way.
My bucket list starts on April 15, 2012 and I have a year to complete all that is on it. If necessary, I will even add more things to my bucket list to complete. It's going to be an amazing journey and I can't wait to see the person I will have become by the end of this year. It's going to be rough, and it definitely won't be easy, but who said anything would ever be easy? This bucket list is just the first step in me committing to what I do and becoming who I am.
My year starts tomorrow and as I complete things on my list I will post the item and the story that led me to mark it off my bucket list. Enjoy the ride!
